Hello all, my first ever post over here on this board. I am looking for someone to refer my individual health ins business to here in Ohio.
My practice focuses on financial-planning, investment management, and life insurance. For the past 6 years whenever a client came to me with an individual health insurance need I split the business 70/30 with a local agency that I also refer my business-owners who have group health insurance needs. Well, this agency no longer writes individual health insurance.
So, just the other day I got an email from a client that we have built a financial-plan for, and because the plan showed them they could retire she is in the process of aligning this for 2015. Since she is under 65 she checked into what it would cost to COBRA her current health insurance and it is $607.85.
I'm looking for someone in Ohio, preferably Central or Northern Ohio that I can refer all my individual health insurance cases to, and take a modest split for my time. Being that these clients pay a fee (we have a fee-based financial planning process) when I refer the client to a "specialist" the client is already sold....so it is tee'd up business. On average I would say i get about 10-12 clients a year that need health insurance solutions, all of which are recently retired.
PM me if you would like to discuss further.
