New Producer - Commercial Sales Question

My boss, who is not an agent, claims I should not waste my time on CGL and Work comp because companies tend to search for rates more often, and I will most likely lose clients in a year when they search again. Anyone find this to be true?

This depends on a variety of factors, but generally the answer is no.

This also brings up a larger issue, I don't think your boss knows what he is doing, and you may have a hard time succeeding there.
