Do you need EO coverage to write PC insurance?

I was just reading some employment ads...and wanted to know before i start down this road.

    Thanks

Unless there are specific requirements by the state, it is up to the carrier/insurance company. Most do.

Even if the carriers don't require it.. it's still really important that you have coverage.

You would be crazy not to have it. Like a surgeon not having malpractice insurance, things happen. :)

E & O should be considered essential to any agent selling P&C, without a doubt. Whether the insurance companies require it or not. I wouldn't operate without it!

From your Post, and all your questions, I dont think you know what you want? Health? P&C? Employment Ads? Might be a good time to look at Target

Most P&C carriers won't even talk to you about getting appointed until you have E&O insurance. Rightly so.
