I've been wondering that same thing. This should be in the Senior Ins Forum, and I bet Frank would know the answer if anyone would. Might just wanna PM him and let us all know the answer.

Could be wrong, but aren't they required to have Medicare before they can qualify for a supp?

I guess that is the underlying question. Can they get Medicare. If not - then where can they get health insurance from? What company issues at the higher ages?

I've run across this situation a couple of times. In both instances the prospect didn't have both Medicare Part A and Part B.

If you don't have both Part A and B you can't get a supp.

Yeah I think the broader question here is, can a foreign national qualify for medicare A and B by paying a premium?
