According to Wellcare they have extended the OEP and other election periods people had from 1/20 to 3/13 for every County in America. Now this is coming from Wellcare who has never been right about anything so we should probably wait for further clarification. :)

Does anyone have any additional info on this? I don't see any other carriers out there saying this nor can I find anything on CMS or Medicare.gov on extending election periods.

RETRACTION NOTICE!

2020 Compliance Communication

RETRACTION NOTICE!

Attention: Medicare Agents

We are in unprecedented times. Humana recognizes the importance of communicating SEP guidance to our sales agents and working closely with CMS to ensure accuracy and timeliness. On March 27, 2020 we issued guidance that an SEP was available in certain areas where a Major Disaster has been declared on the FEMA website.

CMS has advised that at this time, there is no SEP in effect for the Covid-19 Pandemic. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and assure you we are working very closely with our regulatory partners to keep you informed during this uncertain time.
