Oklahoma Rates

I picked 74101, Tulsa, because I have a buddy who lives there:

Male 40, female 40, 2 kids standard non-smokers.

Blue Cross - $2,500 deductible, $15 copays, no drug benefit - $547
Golden Rule Copay Select - $2,500 deductible - $593
Assurant Max Plan - $2,500 ded w/copay $435 - w/o copay $319

HSAs - Assurant $5,700 ded - $341
Golden Rule HSA 100 $5,650 ded - $367

Assurant is crushing it in OK.

I can't imagine what the placement percentage or persistency is for people who purchase from Ehealth. I'd say 20% - and that's generous. Their sales reps (loosely called "agents") don't know anything about the plans - and that's if a client actually calls. Most I'd assume just choose a plan and apply online. Can you imagine the declines? Can you imagine the not-taken underwriting decisions? The cancellations as clients figure out that the lowest priced plan is junk? Ehealth is great for running free quotes. That's all it's good for.

Same scenario, Arizona, 86303

Assurant Max plan, $3500 Ded, OOP $2500, office co-pay, is $570.
Remove office co-pay and it's $370.

BCBS Blue Preferred, $2500 Ded, $523.
Blue Preferred Basic, $2500 Ded, $347.

But Core Med $3500 Ded + $2500 (OOP), and no office co-pay is $317.

Remove office co-pay on AssUrant and save 200 bucks a month, that's what I've been saying office co-pays are a rip off. That's 2400 bucks a year, that's a lot of office visits in my neck of the woods!!
