First for me, got a new plan/network out, looking at their SBC they don't cover "NOT COVERED", non-preferred brand rx, they cover generic/specialty but non NP. Couldn't believe that could be allowed.

Care to share the carrier, plan name, state and county? Maybe they pushed all the drugs into one of the other tiers, leaving none on the NP preferred list.

This is common. There are plenty of brand name drugs the UHC and Harken Health (partially owned by UHC -- Atlanta & Chicago only) plans won't cover. Most such brands have a generic equivalent, but there are also many major drugs that are completely excluded even though they don't have a generic equivalent, e.g. the popular BP drug Benicar.
