Oral Swab Testing

    What exactly can the insurance companies determine from the oral swab test? Are they checking for nicotine, HIV?

    It has been 9 years since I have seen one of those and I must say that I do not miss them.

    I believe that is exactly what they are testing for HIV and nicotine.

    Yes, it does test for HIV, nicotine and cocaine! Yeah, I had a guy a few years ago apply for a life policy, I gave him the oral fluid test and it came back reporting cocaine.
    He said he only did it once or twice a week.....LOL.

    Which company still does that?

    I'm so glad I don't have to do those or the pee cups anymore.

    State Farm still does OST for nearly every policy we write (unless they need a full medical exam), unless it's on a child

    Americo does them. I think on cases $250K to $450K

    I believe Primerica also.

    Back in the day, we had to collect pee from everyone...What a Mess that was. I hated doing it.

    Yea, MoOmaha does it for 250,001K-400K term life express ages 18-65.

    Life of the Southwest also does oral swabs.
