Out of Pocket Reimbursement after Accident

I was in a car accident not my fault, other driver took off. Allstate is Covering it under “uninsured motorist”
I had one night in a motel plus one day car rental as my car was out of commission. The plan cover 30 days at 30 a day, but not a one day, one way rental, that was 500 miles from home.
The Allstate Adjustor say the Policy doesn’t cover “out of pocket “ expenses.
Is this true with Allstate? Are there exceptions?
Thanks

I did not know that Kansas even had UM PD available. In states that do, it usually covers direct damage to the vehicle and sometimes personal property in the vehicle at the time of the accident that belongs to the driver or passengers.

Is this true with Allstate?

It's true with any first party (you) auto insurance.

Are there exceptions?

No.

Whether it's UMPD or Collision coverage, the coverage is only for the damage to your car.

Read your policy to confirm that.

Since you apparently have Rental Reimbursement coverage, you'd be entitled to $30 toward that one day rental.
