Contractor is needing commercial auto for AZ. His company is based out of CA and they do work in AZ. They just bought a boom truck, licensed it in AZ with an AZ location to be used in AZ. AZ requires all vehicles registered in AZ to carry AZ conforming coverage, with AZ id cards.
His current commercial auto carrier is State Farm out of CA, and they do not have a market for this size of truck, hence a referral to me.
I was just going to write the unit under the company's name at the AZ location. Now wondering, do I need be carry a non-res license for CA to legally insure this, since the Inc. is CA? Am I overthinking this? Or just write it and move on....
