P&C license in TX - Criminal Background question

I’ve been hired on with Liberty Mutual and have been prepping to take the p&c exam to get licensed... however I have a class b misdemeanor for possession of theft from 2013 that is still pending with a warrant.

I also have a class b misdemeanor theft charge for under $500.

Do I have any chances of getting my license application approved? Has anyone else gone through the same thing only to get denied?

Slim.

According to the TDI website:

TDI will issue an insurance license to individuals who:
Have not committed an act for which a license may be denied, as defined under §4005.101 of the Texas Insurance Code and §1.502 of 28 Texas Administrative Code.

Does LM know about your criminal background?

Yes LM knows, they did a pretty extensive background check and did not mention anything about the criminal aspect. I got a copy of the background info they pulled and all of the information concerning the charges was there... so I know they know. I brought up my concerns and my trainer advised that the LM licensing coordinator will do what she can to work with me.

The theft charge was dismissed. The possession charge is still pending.
