Have an exchange client that wanted to pay her first month payment with a visa gift card. Would that work...probably some as credit / debit card right ?

YES..If it has the VISA logo and is really loaded with enough $$$. I had a client 2 years ago who's balance wasn't large enough. She'd used some of the funds already.
