PDP app sent to wrong carrier question?

    An agent submitted a PDP paper application for her existing client (who had a different PDP in 2018) via fax to another carrier's PDP's fax number during AEP. The mistake was realized when client inquired about status sometime after January 1. Agent says she has fax confirmation where it was sent to wrong carrier. Any suggestions on how the best way to proceed to be able to get the client placed in the new PDP? Thanks!

    Fax it to the right carrier. If the agent dated the application during AEP, then it's the same as the carrier receiving it during AEP. You all might get a compliance ding for the late submission for processing though since carriers only have so many days to review and submit the enrollment to CMS.

    Thanks for the responses! She's new and was pretty freaked out and I had no idea what to tell her. The agent went back to the client and fortunately for her, the client is fine staying with their carrier from last year.
