I am trying to get a quote from Penn Mutual for a participating max value WL policy for myself and came across this thread that talks about Penn IFN.

    https://insurance-forums.com/community/threads/penn-mutual-independent-financial-network.77926/

    Questions:

    1) What exactly is a IFN? I think it stands for Independent Financial Network but how can I locate such a network for Penn Mutual in New York City ? I googled and nothing came up.

    2) I was told I can also just approach any local agency for this. So is it as simple as finding a local agency that writes Penn policy and I simply contact them and say I want to submit my policy through their firm?

    3) Does it matter which local firm I approach ? Will I make the same commission regardless of which local firm I use to submit my policy?

    4) Under what circumstances will the local firm say NO to me? Just want to do my homework before I approach proceed.

Thank you so much for this forum....
