Had a lead call looking for insurance options. She is currently on plan with no maternity and to her surprise and amazement she is now pregnant. Her husband is requesting his employer if they could be added on as an option and pay the premium , etc. My question is how fast can this be accomplished and when would they be eligible for benefits, and what would the average group premium be for an individual family. Any avice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The employer can answer these questions better than any of us.

Only on the group's open enrollment period and yes the hippa credits should transfer over from the individual plan to the group plan.....

There isn't anything there for you. They can't buy insurance for maternity now besides what group may do. Only the employer can say. Can't help everyone.
