I'm looking for two things? a.) a list of admitted carriers in the commonwealth that I can work with, either through an MGA or on a direct appointment basis. b.) a good list of MGA's with strong carriers that will allow me to tackle this line of business, and own my book. 1. Why are you looking for only admitted carriers? Admitted carriers are subject to their rate and form filings and are limited in what they can do. Don't get me wrong, we prefer to write on an admitted basis when ever possible but it is not always the best option.
