In AZ BCBS requires at least one W2 employee (can be part-time) besides the business owners that will participate in order to qualify, does anyone know if this is also required by Humana, Aetna or other carriers offering group plans for 2018?
In order to qualify as a group, all carriers in AZ require the employment of a W2 employee who is not an owner or owner's spouse. Once it qualifies as a group, there is one carrier who will allow the W2 employee to waive coverage, so that you can enroll the owner only. The rest of the carriers require you to enroll the W2 employee (not just the owner).
