OK, so I've finally got the new independent agency rolling. I'm covered as far as nonstandard auto carriers, and I'm getting hooked up with an MGA for standard/preferred business for the time being.
Because of the market I'm in, the property business I've been writing has mainly been renters, low-value home, and mobile home. Curious about what your take is from those who are more established than me on what would be a good choice.
I've had experience with Aegis, American Modern, and Foremost, and didn't have any production requirements with them because it was through a brokerage. I'd like to have binding authority with at least one company for property, but I don't do a whole bunch. In your experience, do any of those 3 have low or no production requirements?
Also would like to hear your experiences with UPCIC. I had used them at my old agency as well. They seem to fill a different segment the first 3 I mentioned don't. How are they as far as volume expectations?
Finally, I would also be interested in hearing if anyone has used Arrowhead?
Thanks for any experiences you could share.
