The advice I always give agents is before you sign up with somebody asked if you'll get an immediate release get it up front when you're talking to a g a r or f m o.

In that case I want to commend you for your honesty. There are few marketers that will operate in that manner.

that is not written in stone... It depends on the insurance company's policy. Some will not let you change uplines until after 1 year without production and others will never let you change without a written release from the upline.

Some require you to cancel your contract in writing and then wait 6 months to recontract.
Yeah.. and then it puts the block of business you have written on vesting status...You can end up losing the renewals on it even though you recontact with the company..
