Recruiting Agents and Their Persistency

Actually I mis-typed. I meant to say born in a trailer.

I stand by my post. I believe he thought you said some people are born flamers and he thanked you for talking about him. Of course, flamers can be born in trailers too.

I have no idea if he's happy or not.

Seems it would be better to ask him rather than posting that question on a public forum. That way you will know for sure. This is how rumors get started.

One thing to remember when becoming an upline, is that you will have to give up some of your production. Not to your agents, but in time when it comes to recruiting and training.

If you are spending 40+ hours in the field, how much time can you give to a new agent to train them and show them the ropes? A new agent (or two, or three) could take numerous hours in the field from you, which takes you out of the field, resulting in less production.

As others have mentioned, you will be spending time, effort and money recruiting & training some who will not work out (figure that 20% rule of producing agents, so that means 80% of the people will not produce).

Training should be ongoing and constant. I do about 15 webinars a month (spoiler: shameless self promotion) over at Senior Marketing Specialists and I just scratch the surface on what could be taught.
