Good afternoon, everybody.

I'm doing a bit of research for a friend for a lead metrics infographic. Essentially to show agents what they might be able to expect in terms of cost and return on various types of leads.

Knowing that this may vary, I'm just gathering some anecdotal ballparks for an average.

If you feel more comfortable, you can always send me a message with the info.

I'm looking for your or estimated

  1. Cost per lead
  2. Cost per acquisition
  3. Closing ratio

for the following types of life insurance leads:
    1. Shared
    2. Exclusive
    3. Live transfer
    4. Direct mail
    5. Aged

Any help you can offer would be great.

    Thanks!

Lead cost is irrelevant. Only relevant factor IMO is the client acquisition cost. I stay under 30%. Basically, I will pay whatever it takes to "buy" a client so long as my cost to acquire that client is under 30% of commission. After that factor, I will look at time commitment. I know that I can have an acquisition cost of 30% on aged leads...but I will dialing until my fingers bleed and hit a ceiling before my income is comfortable.
