Retired or Disabled?- No More Renewals

Cigna healthSpring is making us do a RE-contracting process for 2014. I found this paragraph which describes what happens with renewals in the case of disability or retirement. In the case of death, they might give your spouse the renewals, whatever that means.

1) When an agent retires or becomes disabled, he or she will become inactive and will no longer be allowed to receive commission payments of any type. In order to continue to receive future commission payments, the agent must recertify annually and remain appointed with Cigna-HealthSpring. In the case of an agent’s death, Cigna-HealthSpring will determine if the agent’s future renewal commissions can be assigned to the agent’s spouse. If allowed, however, the spouse must become licensed, complete certification, and become appointed with Cigna-HealthSpring.

I appreciate that they have the cojones to spell it out in plain english. Something to think about.
