I have my own pbx now, thinking i might cancel ringcentral. It requires a computer but an asterisk based pbx can do all the things ringcentral does with no monthly and per minute fees of around .015-.009, which is basically the same cost as their unlimited.
It also gives you the ability to hook into multiple trunks, so if one of them goes down you don't even notice unless you're on the phone at the time.
Risk is, my server goes down I lose my phone lol.

mine was down this morning its ok now for $56 a mo, it should never be down. I might go back to google voice.

$56? You must have a lot of bells and whistles. But then again, I just use the online version to get faxes and phone messages.

Same here and a place to park my 800 number. Mine is twenty something a month.
