Risedronate 2018 pricing

Have a client taking risedronate (generic Actonel). In 2017 the retail price under her drug plan is $15 with a $7 copay.

Same plan for 2018 retail price is $175.

Can you say price gouging?

Suggested getting from BlueSky @ $40 for 90 day supply.

Can't say.

My guess is some other mfg bought the rights to it and bumped up the price. That has happened with clobetasol. I think there are now 3 or 4 different companies making it, each with different pricing.

Last yr I paid $40 for a tube. This year it is $180. Less than $100 with GoodRx. $39 from Canada.
