A lot of agents do not come from a sales background, so I just ran a "Sale 101" webinar to go over some basic principles.

Some of the points you mentioned, I put to use today. Specifically the Mr. and Mrs thing. I never realized that but I think you're right.

Also, I got a kick out of your example of how to handle someone who questions high deductibles (or other coverages) by letting them come to the conclusion themselves. I try to practice this myself but often times, they still don't get it! I had one client tell me that he doesn't see why his insurance company would cover his $200 claim (He had a $250 deductible). Not sure how to show someone that this is standard protocol but I attempted to and failed miserably.:no:
