Selling Through Associations

Has anyone been successful approaching dental, physician, and attorney associations to sell disability insurance?
 
I would think LTC would be a good product to sell to dentists, doctors, lawyers etc. through their associations. Most of them will retire with a lot of assets that need protecting. A person who pays LTC premiums from age 40 thru age 75 will pay in less premiums than a person age 60 thru age 75 ( Used to be a selling point )

You have to start out with at least three ( to start the association ) you then get an association number from the company. If the number of insureds falls below a certain percentage, the association is dissolved, but they get to keep the association rates. The above info may vary with different companies.

All of the big di players have a program. Do you know an association? These typicallu don't get off the ground for the agent without some sort of relationship.
