Signing with IMO While Captive

Hello, I am captive with an insurance company and have only been appointed with them for about 16 days. I don't like it there and dont feel there is room for growth, I have not sold any policies under them.

Is it ok if i sign with an IMO while waiting on them to cancel my appointment?

Sure, why not?

As long as you have made it known in writing that you've quit that agency/company... then there's no problem, nor any breach of contract.

Any suggestions on the best 3 or 4 IMO's . I'm in the Atlanta area, not that this is of major concern, but nice to be close I think.

You don't really 'need' a local IMO. However, if they would let you use their local offices for client meetings or something, I'd probably take a look at Allied Marketing Partners. They are located in Atlanta.
