I have a couple friends who want to start a sports league. They are using internet sites like meetup.com and a few others to get people interested. They want to make their money by selling advertising, etc. The town where they are based wants them to provide an insurance cert. with 1 million in General Liability in order to use their baseball fields.
The insurers I am appointed with don't seem to have any appetite for this.
Any ideas on how I could approach the underwriter to maybee let me give them a price? Any insurers who would write this risk?
