I have a client who dabbles in sports memorabilia and collectibles.

His inventory is fluid and he doesn't want to constantly get appraisals for each piece.

Can anyone recommend a company that would insure these item in a blanket
    fashion?

He also wants to start selling and trading in memorabilia for others.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

I was going to suggest American Collectors Insurance until I read your next to last sentence. wheeling and dealing for others switches it from personal to commercial.

ACI will allow some personal wheeling and dealing at trade shows several times a year, but only if it's your personal collection.

they also don't require appraisals. they only require group pictures, an inventory list, individual pics for memorabilia valued >2K, and COA's on any signed memorabilia.

this might be a partial solution for your friend for items that are more personal and sentimental.... but they won't touch memorabilia owned by others, or his own memorabilia if he's setting up shop.
