I use WPE as well. Looking for SSL to be used with a domain hosted by the folks who have my quote engine landing page. I will ask if it is OK to use Lets Encrypt

If they don't use let's encrypt, most likely the engineer or tech person running your website doesn't know much as any full stack developer knows about certbot....

Hostgator definitely worked well for me before I went with an SEO company. You want to make sure you don't confused their shared hosting plans with the WordPress hosting plans, though.

I had to get a refund and rebuy their plan since I didn't realize the WordPress hosting plans didn't come with a cpanel. If you get the shared hosting plan, it comes with the cpanel and you can do a one-click WordPress install on your website.
