Starting An Insurance Agency in Illinois...

Hi All,

I'm looking into starting an Insurance agency that offers Personal Property insurance in Central Illinois, I've checked Illinois Department of Insurance website but its very difficult to navigate and figure out exactly what you need. Can someone give me a breakdown of everything that's needed on the legal side of starting an Agency?

Where about in Central IL?

You could contact the IIA of Illinois, they are the independant insurance agents association. They should be able to provide you some helpful information.
