Surrender License

Quick question, if I surrendered my agency's insurance license, then is there any amount of time that I must wait before I reapply?

no reason to the surrender. Just wondering. For instance if I surrender and then change my mind and want to reapply. Is there a specific amount of time that I need to wait?

It all depends on the state. Many states require up to a 1 year wait. There are exceptions. I would need to know the state in question (assuming it may not be TX as your screen name indicates), is this the resident state license or a non-resident license, and are there any sanctions or administrative actions in place or currently pending?

Surrendering may not be the best option as commissions are usually paid to the agency. Many skirt this in various ways much like people skirt speed limit signs, it's all fun & games ... until you get caught. With the financial strain the Departments of Insurance are already feeling, they're cracking down on loopholes and levying some rather hefty fines. I caution you to think twice before making a rash decision. Speak to your carriers and consult with a licensing specialist at the DOI, be very careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water.

Good luck to you!

If there is no reason to surrender than why would you?

I agree with ILSAinc...why wouldn't you just keep doing the CE and keep it just in case. Is there more behind your considering this that you would like feedback?

I agree rba. We have more 1hit poster in the last 3 months... These goofy mods have no clue about what's up... They hit the Angela list for links and were told to post like this to get the link.... Wake up mods... Clean up the one night stands

glad to see they deleted my comment, glad to see moderation at its finest, especially when it wasnt a bad comment.
