Switch Plans Without Underwriting

At least one carrier supposedly allows existing policyholders to change plans without underwriting. The more important question is, at what rate?

Is the new policy at a preferred rate or high priced tier?

And which carriers do allow the switch? How often does it come up with your clients?

In another thread the change option was discussed, I believe UHC was the carrier in question. As I recall one agent pushed the "no look" change in his sales pitch. My recollection is, once the client saw the premium differential in moving from N or HDF to F they declined to follow through.

I view the no look trade up as more fluff than substance, but was curious who else besides UHC offered it.

As I understand the trade up is administrative, not etched in stone within the policy.
