Text message marketing? Has anyone explored this?

I have recently been seeing text message marketing pop up all over the place and I am looking for more options to stay in front of my clients. Has anyone done this before and have any reviews to share?

More of a quick compliance heads up, if you're not getting explicit permission from clients (or anyone else for that matter) to send them text messages, it's a $500 fine per offense (TCPA violation). While I think it's unlikely that if you do this any customer would (1) know they could go after you and (2) want to go after you, it's important to know. You may want to have them sign something or at least respond by email that it's ok for you to send them text messages.

So far all the e&o policies I have looked at for myself, covering my e&o, EXCLUDE communication via text message. For that reason I do zero communication via text message.
