The Future of Health Insurance

The Future of Healthcare

Anyone else ever wonder why so many things are done that do not make any sense? How and why so much money is being wasted and thrown away on ACA? Why so many common sense mistakes are being perpetrated and no real effort is being put for to make real changes that need to be and must be made for Obamacare to survive? The only sensible answer is because they don't want it to. None of this Obamacare foolishness makes any sense any other way.

It's all about persuasion and in-convenience, classic bait-and-switch.

Make everyone sign up for health insurance at the lowest cost to the carriers so it appears as though they actually want things to continue this way.

Take a step back and it's not hard to see what's going on.

Insurance carriers made a killing in 2014, and most did in 2015. Now the easy money is done. The last bits of anything that resembles a free market system is officially being cut out of all health insurance, starting with Obamacare. Carriers now have no choice but to offer products against their best interests and most of them are not profitable in 2016 going forward. The carriers who do turn a profit will have to share it, soon most of the companies who haven't already pulled out of the marketplace will do so. That will leave a few carriers offering coverage, at that point rates will sky rocket, huge increases are unavoidable.

It's already happening.

In my local area (Central Florida) one carrier has already cornered the market. With the majority of the population enrolling onto a smaller HMO Network, will their be a 3 month, 6 month, or longer wait to see your doctor? Claims not being paid, coverage getting canceled by the marketplace for not sending in documents (that you sent in many times), or other for problems?

Even with all the tax credits and subsidies on earth, 2017 and especially 2018 and 2019 plans will not be at all affordable (not all that affordable now btw), by design. At that point, tax payers will be screaming for the government (and next presidential candidate) to do something about it. After all the tax money ACA burns through, we won't be able to issue 'more' tax credit. We can't raise taxes on a non-existent middle class, can't ever tax the poor or wealthy.

So what can be done? Get rid of Obamacare? Hmmmm. And politicians will give away all that power they have over a dependent public? Or will they do the right thing for the people? After all, don't we exist to provide them with power and wealth?

There is another way to solve all of these miserable problems, all at a much more affordable cost........single payer system.

Bernie Sanders or not.

We will hear that term tossed around more and more until you see the sheep march around in protest with signs begging for it. All those who didn't get Medicaid expanded will now be promised free (tax payer funded) government healthcare.

No more employer coverage, no more Medicaid, no more Obamacare, no more Medicare, no more VA Coverage, no more anything.

Health Insurance Companies are likely already bribing, sorry 'lobbying', and partnering with politicians for future government ASO and claims processing contracts. At least the smart players are anyways.

That's been the plan all along.

1.Get as much of the population as possible to be dependent on the government system
2. Make it great at first to draw in the insurance carriers
3. Push them out of the business with headaches and red tape to the point that they lose money offering plans and will no longer offer any individual coverage
4. Get rid of anyone who advocates for or educates consumers (agents)
5.Eliminate the free market system
6.Break it with red tape, don't fix or change it, make customers hate it, make it crazy expensive, all for the sake of persuading the public to demand something better
7. Promise free healthcare to those who did not qualify for tax credits and were left out by Obamacare/State Medicaid
8. Promote Single Payer as a lower cost, solve all problems alternative
9. Result = Full Governement control over the entire Healthcare System from top to bottom.
10. Create a catchier name than DHHS or CMS

Citizens Healthcare System of The United States of America

Now get in line and get your standard government issued flu shot.

I can tell you have a BA degree. But learn to write short & at a 5th grade level. I have an English Lit degree, and learned the hard way. ;) However, I still disagree with your premise; after almost 5 paragraphs.

I do not agree with Socialism. America is NOT a democracy, we are a Republic. Hell, Kenya is a so-called Republic. But, we are as genuine as we get on it; argumentative-wise.

But, Bernie Sanders is just that. He wants European socialism. I have been there. Great points, but their system has great flaws, as well as our Republic. NO SYSTEM IS PERFECT! (Oh, except Communism - like Kim Jung Il, for he is perfect ;) ). Being I grew up in a Republic, I support my Republic. If you like Socialism, I say, move over there.

From your post, I expect that you think you get a FREE MEAL. No. And, when you move to Socialism, you will not get a free meal, but pay heavy taxes. AND...if you want good insurance, you will pay for PRIVATE INSURANCE...not public. So, you will pay over 1,000 pounds or more MONTHLY for PRIVATE insurance, not for State in England, France, Canada, Australia, Zealand, etc. But you are too young to know this.

You see....there are good and bads.

I do wonder how Sanders promotes a national single payer system when the single payer system in his home state of Vermont started and failed in 2014.

Citation?

I am sure you can provide a list of countries where SP is working and has solved all the problems associated with health care.

No more employer coverage,

Citation?

Not sure how they can convert to single payer when 18% of the US GDP is tied up in the healthcare sector . . . .Sure, it will be "free" . . . .

Its not free. You pay taxes for it. If we have to go to a single payer I wish it would be closer to the Senior Market than what we have or Socialized Medicine.

80/20 split but with an option for MA, Med Supps, PDPs etc.

I do well in the Senior Market so it would be something I would be familiar with if they ever went to that structure.

You said you live in Central Florida and one company has cornered the market?

Care to say who? I'm in Central Fl and in this last OEP, UHC, Humana and Florida blue were all neck in neck with premiums. With Humana arguably with the lowest. But not cornered by any means.
