Thoughts on LifeHealthPro Article

MassMutual is following AIG and MetLife in trying to find a new way to increase profitability and going around agents.

Here's the site and the part I don't like: https://havenlife.com/

"A plain language no commission policy." That's annoying and I don't like the way that it positions itself against agents... even if agents would never sell the product.

However, I think it fits perfectly with the "Society of Grown Ups" crap.

Curious what you all think about this article:

Meet the life insurance startup that lets clients buy in real time | LifeHealthPro

Its interesting that its a subsidiary of MassMutual but has been branded under a different name. They certainly didn't call it MassMutual direct...which is what it is.

In fairness it is term only, if it's < $250K under say age 30 and/or $100 to 40 or 50 you can probably write an ok block of business. The trial run of Big Data I get the feeling will come back to burn them however.

Oh yeah the Society. They even have a 3 part class on how to have a baby! I can imagine all the pc crap in those sessions.

It seems to me the "plain language" part is them asking to get sued.
