Trans Medigap Decline for Counseling

I have a client whose mother passed away earlier this year. Since then she has been seeing a counselor. She has a Plan G with Priority Health and is paying way too much. We applied for a Plan G with Transamerica. She was denied due to the ongoing counseling. Do you know of any carriers for which seeing a counselor is not an auto-decline? The other competitive carriers in Michigan that I'm currently contracted with Aetna and Cigna. I'm also looking at Lumico and Americo. Thanks!

How do you know she is paying way too much?

Bankers Fidelity will issue a policy but not at preferred rates. Their std rates may or may not be competitive with her current rate.

Aetna has a 2 yr look back on M&N. So don't expect preferred rates there. I rarely use them for underwritten business.

No idea about the other carriers.
