A man and his wife are enrolled in a KP Group Medicare Advantage plan through his employer. Both are in their 70's and both enrolled in Parts A&B years ago.
He wants to retire soon, which will end their enrollment in the group plan, and have both switch to a MAPD from a different company.
What EPs apply in a situation like this? Does he and his wife have the usual LEC SEP for the transition from employer coverage to individual coverage? Or does already being on a Medicare Advantage plan mean that they can only make changes in their plans during AEP or OEP?
