Using Carrier Logos on Your Website

Hello Everyone,

I have seen a lot of websites post the logos for each of the companies they represent.

Do you need the company's permission for this?

Likely depends on the carrier and type of insurance. In CA for health insurance the main CA carriers actually provide the logo art for our web sites on their sites for us to download and use.

If you can copy and paste the logo from the front page of their website, then you can use it without approval, in general terms.

Not True! I've been in trouble a couple times in the past for doing so.

In general, it is always a good thing to just ask them. Most wont mind you just using the logo.

Great!

Thanks for all the informative responses! This way I can stay out of trouble. At least as far as copyright laws go. ;)
