Vanishing Clients and Money??

Has anyone else been experiencing your on-exchange client mysteriously becoming "direct" members with the carrier, because MP says the made a change, even though no change or contact with MP was made? :mad:
 
Happens off exchange too, bucko. Most everyone has had this issue and not limited to one specific carrier.

Your NPN is being taken off the app and is removed from the new file feed when a change is made at the marketplace. Either generated by client or CMS (income change / citizenship). It happens when:

1. You used a WBE or carrier direct method to apply. Doesn't transfer over when any kind of change is made.
2. Marketplace rep is removing it, or it's doesn't auto populate (see #1 above)

We should have read the warning label on the product.
 
Some carriers automatically reattach you to the client after the marketplace removes your affiliation, but from what I've read and experienced, those carriers are rare.
 
The mass majority of the time we have heard of this happening is when the change was made either A. Customer calling HC.gov and changing something or B. they call the carrier and change something. Most problematic with BCBS...
