What Are the Pipeline "steps" of a Major Med?

When I worked in mortgage years ago I had a pipeline in excel and on a whiteboard where we broke down where each deal was in steps (application, appraisal, going to docs, closed date, amount made)


In selling major medical what would be the logical steps for me to put up on a white sales board to see where each deal is in the sales and underwriting process to keep my sales pipeline organized?
 
Starting from the point where your client is ready to buy, here is a start.

Pre-screen the application with multiple carriers.

Pick the best option and submit the app electronically.

Confirm receipt of the app online. Check status daily.

If you have a challenging case, alert your sales rep and engage them.

Check for stalls along the way like the phone interview, APS, etc.

Keep your client updated through every step.
 
1. New lead wanting to look at options.
2. Set expectation for call back.
3. Run basic numbers.
4. Call back, qualify harder.
5. If serious, run webconference or meet F2F to go over options and submit an application.
