What carriers cover race car drivers?

You have to get the details as to what type of racing, frequency, type of cars raced, sanctioning body, etc.

Racing questionnaire and ask details about their MVR.

Two I did that I can think of off the top of my head: Ohio National and Cincinnati Life. Stock car and Funny car respectfully. Two, IMO, conservative underwritten companies.
 
Can't remember who at this point, but a basic term insurance company.

The big thing to do as WB pointed out was the racing risk questionnaire. You need to think from a underwriter's POV so anything you can provide that shows the safety of the sport will help. In my case I sent the racing association safety requirements for drivers along with things that expressed safety over macho.

Insurance is risk adverse, provide the underwriter with things that support that view.
 
Check with Petersen International Underwriters. They cover race driver disability and Jimmy Petersen is wonderful to work with
