What Carriers Require Life-Only Licenses?

Is it a state thing or a Carrier requirement to have not only an Accident and Health Agent license but also a Life-Only license? Seems Anthem in CA requires both, but Blue Shield does not? What about other Carriers?

This isn't an answer to your question, but I hope it helps.

Most agents I know who have one license have both. I took the tests in 1985 and a lot has changed since then, but the questions on the two tests were nearly identical. My guess is that if you can pass one test, you've done 80% of the work to pass the other.

The state sets the minimum requirements.

The carriers tell you what you have to do to represent them and that's what you do.

Best to get multiple licenses at the beginning.
