Does anyone know how long the sanction will last with Cigna?

For comparison: When SilverScript was sanctioned, it lasted from 1/15/13 to 12-20-13. So CMS will likely make them sit out at least one AEP.

Other examples:

Aetna was sanctioned in April of 2010 and released in June of 2011, so that one lasted over a year.

Chinese Community HP - 11 months.

Summacare - 7 months (included one AEP)

Cap Blue Cross - 9 months (included one AEP)

Orange County - 12 months

Health Net - 8.5 months (partial AEP missed)

The only sanction in the past 6 or so years that didn't impact an AEP was for HealthPlus of MI and that was due to the state of MI not allowing them to enroll new members for financial reasons. Once that was lifted by the state of MI, CMS took them off sanctions (lasted 2 1/2 months).

Hee Hee. The HealthNet AEP lasted ONLY about 5 working days in a year when they had a GREAT plan in So Calif. It hurt tremendously. I was able to get a whopping 7 apps in at the time, well, it was "whopping" for me anyway.
