What Kind of Split Would You Expect in this Situation?

Banked-owned independent focusing on commercial lines with some personal & life. Offering $60k base on W2, commissions & renewals. Benefits, 401(k)... the whole dog and pony.

What kind of split for first year and renewals do you feel would be appropriate in this situation?

$60k/year base with benefits? I'd think any commission would be a bonus.

Most agencies offering that type of base and benefits pay something in the neighborhood of 20% new and 10-15% renewal. Many referrals come from banking customers so it is more order taking than true production.
