What Type of Business Insurance Would Cover ...

Hi Guys,

I’m wondering if anyone knows what type of insurance provides business owners protection on items that are rented to their customers.

For example, tuxedo rental stores rent tuxes.Obviously they have some sort of insurance on the tuxedos they own.

Here's an example of some companies which provide various items for rent to the public either exclusively online and/or in person for pick-up:

renttherunway.com
lumoid.com
toolrentalplace.com
a1rentalcenters.com
us.zilok.com

Obviously each company will have it’s own unique insurance policies, however I am hoping someone might be able to provide me with the name of this type of insurance, some potential insurance carriers, is this normally expensive, etc .

Thanks again!

Rental businesses generally need a couple types of insurance:

General liability - to cover potential injury or damages caused by the items you are renting.

Property - coverage for the items owned in case of theft or damage, etc.

The carriers and appetites vary widely depending on region and items being rented.
