Sometimes in the business of what we do we say we are important to those we meet, and then sometimes something happens that re-enforces that.
I am posting in hopes of encouraging those who might be struggling in the day to day moment by moment stuff of life and work. That includes all of us. New or old crusties.
I received a call yesterday from a client (FE but it applies across the board) who am placing with a new company to me which means there is more of a lag. The gentleman called to make sure things were moving along as they should.
His reason... his daughter was involved in a fatal car accident the evening of the Super Bowl.
I took the call in my car. I sat there somewhat stunned as I try to mumble some words of comfort. Thought of my own 3 young ones. This evening around 4 I will meet with him. Praying that I don't make a fool of myself and that I can bring a little sunshine in along with me.
