When a Lead is Wheelchair Bound

Curious what the heavy hitters do when they call on a Lead and that person turns out to be wheelchair bound. How do you make the best of the situation?

It's simple. If they are in a wheelchair because of a chronic illness or disease, GI is your only option.

If they aren't, they could qualify for an immediate benefit with some companies.

I just left a house where the man who is 54 has MS and is confined to a wheelchair. Lived alone and is able to do his ADL's. I thought Assurity was an option, but the underwriter said no. Quoted him Gerber.

UHL doesnt ask about wheel chairs too. Also, just because someone uses a wheel chair does not mean they are bound to it. Open your applications in pdf and search for "wheelchair" and see how each company asks that question.

That will work for any health condition btw.

Just to add on to what Hoosier said, if you feel like you have found a company that might accept w/e health condition is hard to cover. You can always do a risk assessment with the company, the worst that will happen is they will say no. Then you can just move on to the next company.

Make sure to call in 3 times. You will get a different answer every time. ;)
