Which businesses do you market to?

I'm curious to know from the other agents out there if there are particular business classes that they have found to be receptive to a health insurance review. For example have you had your telemarketers calling plumbers and had a good response from them? Have you found the retail store owners have been a good source for you? One of the niches I have starting targeting is accountants. Once you sell them on the benefits of HSA's (since they can see the tax savings) then not only do you write them but then they are a good source of referrals. Anyhow, it would be interesting to see what success agents have had in different market niches. Also, because I'm sure you all have a lot of time on your hands, does anybody market to any "weird" business classes like Lobster fisherman off the coast of Alaska or Ice Road Truckers he he he!!?

Here's a snapshot of which companies my marketers get. If you see a patter please let me know.

don't know about selling insurance to truckers, but that show is very interesting!

You are not marketing to businesses, you are marketing to people. My marketers will call one doctor's office and the doctor will be indignant and rude. The next doctor wants quotes. The next towing business they call is a rude gruff guy who hangs up. Then another towing business wants quotes. You get the picture. I hear stuff like "market to real estate agents." They are no better or worse then another other lead.

I market to escort services, and when in Nevada (about an hour's drive) to the legal brothels. I totally comply with NASD mandate of "Know your client."
