Which Type of Insurance?

Hello everyone,
Is it possible to insure an investment contract?
In other words, if two companies enter into a contract, by which one company invests X amount of money for Y annual return, into the second company.
Is it possible for the first company to insure this contract against losses, or lower returns from investment (if the second company for example, specifies 10% annual returns, but the actual return will only be 5%)?.
What is the name for such an insurance policy? (something along the lines of "insurance of financial investments"?).
I am not really sure about the correct terminology for this, any ideas?
Thanks!

Edit: is this similar to insuring against losses, in an agricultural company if there is a bad harvest year?

You can't buy insurance for this, it is speculation.

You can buy other financial instruments. Hedging, derivatives, options, etc.
